Does Restaurant Le Ngor Live Up to the Hype?
My date drove us up to Corniche Almadies, and we finally settled upon a gorgeous beachfront restaurant in the middle of the day. Beautiful paintings and structures lay in front of the restaurant, sold by a gentle old man. The clamshell and cement stairway showcased beautiful tropical plants; for a second, you feel like you’re in a lovely garden. Once seated, we were immediately given menus. Our waitress didn’t even ask and gave me me an English menu and gave my date a French one. I appreciated that gesture because I didn’t have to pull out google translate to order. I ordered the Curry coconut shrimp and my date ordered the Gambas and Thiof skewer. He loved his food and I found my food pretty tasty as well. For dessert we opted for the coconut ice cream and it was terrific. We finished off with Senegalese attaya , a mint tea that is very strong and refreshing. Overall, the food was excellent. The price was well worth it for the fantastic view of the ocean. I would visit again but next time, I’m, ordering the thiof.
Is Le Ngor Restaurant Vegan Friendly?
Le Ngor has a few vegetarian dishes available that change from season to season. I’m not sure if they’re vegan; I recommend asking about the usage of fish sauce or butter, as it’s quite common.
